Murray Guard’s approach to the training and development of security staff incorporates extensive classroom and position-specific sessions that begin with the officer’s initial assignment and continue throughout a security officer’s career.                

At Murray Guard, training and development is more than a one-time event. We continue to develop our security officers to their utmost ability – consistent with our security staff’s career goals and client need. Our training program can be custom-tailored to each client’s needs.

All of our security officers undergo the following:

Initial training and development

Murray Guard’s initial training and development program includes extensive preparation in the fundamentals of security services. The program incorporates classroom, audiovisual, and online instruction.

Work environment learning

Every Murray Guard security officer receives a minimum of four to eight hours of client-specific instruction prior to each assignment. Additionally, officers receive monthly on-site sessions with a manager or supervisor.

Continual audiovisual learning resources

Murray Guard has an extensive library of training videos on a wide range of topics. Many are site-specific, enabling continuous familiarization with client operations. View video training catalog.

All Murray Guard security officers are provided with an expansive monthly learning series that addresses an abundance of security concerns, including first aid and fire prevention. View monthly training courses.
