The Selection Process

In certain cases, if carrying a firearm or top-secret security clearance is needed, Murray Guard can tailor the selection process to the needs of the client.

Face-to-Face Interview

Security guard candidates are provided the opportunity to demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills.

Criminal Background Check

Background checks are conducted automatically as part of Murray Guard’s new online human resources system to help ensure employee integrity.

Work History Check

Prior work history is a good predictor of future performance. An employment verification search verifies title, tenure, and salary claims. Reasons for leaving and eligibility for rehire are also confirmed.

Reference Check

Previous employers and personal references are contacted to gather information about a candidate.

Drug Testing

As part of our commitment to a drug-free workplace for both Murray Guard and our clients, every potential candidate for employment with Murray Guard is administered a pre-employment drug test.

Training/Orientation Program

Murray Guard’s extensive training/orientation program is designed to introduce candidates to the security industry. Employees must complete this program and pass a final exam before being hired.
